Out and About

A few photos from a little trip into London. This last term at school, L has been learning about Space, so we arranged a trip to the science museum. We are running a week or two behind on our kitchen and I can be found on Pinterest, finding stunning black and white photography. This has got me thinking that it is only a matter of time before I post some black and white images.

Sneak Peak

As promised a little sneaky peak on our kitchen transformation and pictures waiting to be put up. I am especially loving the downpipe on the back doors and the dark wooden floor. I picked up the birds print from a student selling at an art fair, as a joint project present, R nd I invested in a vintage tube/carriage map. Also as a Christmas present to R, we found this reclaimed tractor seat bar stool. These few bits are adding a sense of home to this new space.

Future Kitchen

Yesterday and the best part of today has been increasingly stressful in dealing with the last stages of the building works. Our kitchen suppliers are very vague about when they are actually fitting the kitchen...sometime next week....when next week is only a matter of days away! So I popped to the local garden centre which has a little home range section and picked up some pretty cup cases for future baking in our new kitchen. If the weather holds out tomorrow I am hoping to take some sneak peak photos to tease you with.

Red Hearts

Personally I have lost interest in Valentine's Day, a little too commercial may be? But I have not lost in passion for Love. It is the gentle reminders of red hearts, gestures, touches and words that keep the heart beating.

Name Game

We half way there and the kitchen is starting to take shape. Over the next four to six weeks, things are going to be staggered. So after next week, I am hoping to post some sneak peaks and new spring inspired photos. I have to admit that my paint options have been farrow and ball all the way. I am convince that its all in the name, what with Slipper Satin, Pigeon and Downpipe it was hard to find a cheaper alternative. I cannot help but imagine what they were thinking behind the naming of they paint colours. The excitement of the delicate hues that dress my walls and woodwork have helped shape the room, all it needs is a few of my favourite prints up!
