Today's Still Life

With the forecast of sun today, I set aside some time with my camera.  I have two open houses this year (my first time showing in Brighton during May) and then an exhibition in July.  Although little daunted I am trying my very best to be organised.  I am still working my still life flora series and the above images are towards this series.  Also I am working on a long term photo book project, hence so many versions of this set up.  Some are for prints, some are for cards and some for my photo book!

Rottingdean Beach

We had a truly lovely half term.  It was great that the last few days were dry and sun kissed!  On Saturday we had friends visit from London and we popped down to Rottingdean Beach.  Hope that you had a lovely week.

Our Cheeky C

So it was the the turn of our cheeky C to be off school the last few days with a horrible cold.  Yesterday she started to feel a lot better, so I took the opportunity to photograph her.  With both girls on the mend and back at school, the house seems a little more ordered and a little too quite.

Objects and Space

This is from last week but in the light of the weather and dull days, I thought I would share it.  For my new photographic series I have been putting together ideas that involve plants and objects.  Also how the space is shared and split.  Hope that the weather is not taking too much of a toil on you.

Still Life Monday

I had forgot about this jug that I picked up last summer at a car boot sale.  It felt like a morning jug, hence why I chose to shoot it alongside the grapefruit.  The first shot with the rubber plant is my way of  trying out an idea that I am working on for my next photo book.  Honestly both photo books and pinterest are equally addictive.  Currently getting ready for the half term break.

Random Wednesday

This week started off being fairly focused.  My aim was to complete Brighton Open Houses deadline and get to the gym at least three times.  Then my eldest returns home from school on Monday with a temperature and headache.  Still off as she has lost her appetite and finding it hard to fight of her high temperature we have totally chilled out.  So far the only thing I managed was the gym on Monday and my Brighton open houses deadline completed today.  Hope that the gales and not too much of a force to be reckoned with!
