Weekend Fix

With my lovely husband working long hours once again, things have been a little fraught. Emotions have been running high, last week at week, saying goodbye to Reception and running late for so many things, it is beyond amusing. So this weekend, we are going to relax and breath. Here hoping that I will be able to snap some scenes for next week. The above I snapped last weekend whilst visiting the in-laws.

Square

Over the weekend, the family got together and it was a great chance to photograph my nieces and our daughters. This morning I discovered the square crop option, so I thought that I would give it a go.

To the Max

Admittedly I have given up my search for the perfect maxi summer dress. I tried on two different styles, but either did anything for me. I do believe that all sizes and age groups can wear current trends, but you need to do with a conviction about what works for you. As a 5ft4in curvy shape, I stayed away from the Maxi look, but I have decided with the right style (nothing too tent like), I can get away with this look. It may have to be something I follow up for the Autumn. I found these two looks on style.com, one from Cacharel and the other from Erdem. I love the colours and the texture of both the chiffon and lace. There is something about adding layers and wearing biker boots with this look that makes me wear this in the middle of the summer! Rest assured that I will hold out until September and in the meantime I will enjoy the summer days and occasionally allow my thoughts on greyer days to get excited about the autumn looks just begging to be worn!

Last week

Bubbles, Kites, Picnics, Friends, going to the Beach and Birthday cakes. Again, it is my week in pictures! I hope that I will get around to writing a proper post, we are still enjoying the weather.

We are in the Garden

The summer days are bringing a whole new routine, sun cream the girls, grab water bottles, paddling pools, going to bed slightly later, evening bike rides and a huge amount time in the garden. If I don't post as much as I would like to, please forgive and be assured that I am snapping away and spending time outdoors!

Letters

With my birthday out the way, this week has been a little more productive. I have also got around to writing my thank you cards. I truly loved the presents I received and feel so grateful for the people I love in my life. The last few days, I have been entertaining friends, tidying up, washing and trying to stick to my dream of living with a few things. Today I really wanted to snap some photos, or find something great to put on here, but time is flying by. So I looked through my holiday photos from a couple of weeks back and thought I would share them. After this post, please think of me as I potter into the various rooms in our home, a little hot and a little bothered about where on earth should start....?
