Martha's Party

With the summer holidays coming to a end, we are remembering a few of the many highlights.
Martha's fourth birthday, was set in her parents stunning family home, granted I only really saw the outside, but it took our breath away, the location was remote and back onto the woods. The children ran around, played games and ate from a stunning arrangement of party food.

Let's get Excited

Today has been about discovering new things. Firstly, a boot fair find introduced me to Sylvac, old English ceramic/pottery company. Secondly, a delightful retail website, which feature the likes of Bold & Noble, Mini Moderns and plenty of more to wet your appetite, so if you have time check out http://www.carolinemcgrath.co.uk/. Finally, a little behind on the uptake, but Howies brought out a t-shirt earlier this year, with a very current sentiment. Found this on another blog http://runningamokblog.blogspot.com/.

Flower Fancy

August is simply vanishing. The school holidays equal days out with friends and making the most of being outdoors. My blog, has been lacking in content during this month, but I have been collecting ideas and snapping pictures, ready for a daily dose in September. Saying that, had the weather improved today, I would have been at the garden center, completely distracted with flowers for our garden. So as I missed out, I visited the website of one of my favorite London florist, Scarlet and Violet. I love the arrangements and the way flowers truly fill a room with life.

Ditchling Beacon

I am still here, just distracted by the summer holidays. LV is keeping me busy with her hectic social life. This weekend, we had our lovely friends from Toronto to stay. Godmother Jo, made a beautiful subject as did the South Downs views. We sat, flew kites and relaxed. Here are some of my snaps of our afternoon on Ditchling Beacon.

Style Clash

We are coming to the end of our decorating projects. I am hoping to post photos of 'before' & 'after'. In the meantime, I have been trying to convince R about a feature wall of paintings. Presently our two personalities are clashing, he is an extreme minimalist and I am a collector of sorts!!!
I found a few pictures that I am particulaly fond of, via Pimpernal & Partners. I am thinking that it would be a great kick start to our feature wall.
