Sussex Sweetpeas
Sorry for the lack of posts. I have been commissioned to work on a couple of food related publicity shots, which has been rather exciting and time consuming. Also I have been working on building a new website to showcase, my portfolio, online shop and new blog space. However is a long work in progress. I really wanted to share my new floral print that is now ready for Open Houses this coming June.

Golden Hour Randoms
Over the last few weeks, my eldest daughter has struggled with settling into year five at school. It is the first time they have mixed up their classes and even though we know that this will happen in two years time when she goes to secondary school, the adjustment has been too much for her. My days are filled with raw emotions, frustration and growing pains. My heart goes out to her, I'm hoping that she will know our unconditional love, hope and the equipping of tools to get through this stage. The weight of this, has kept me occupied on so many levels, hence the lack of posts and photos. But we are dealing with this daily and it is getting easier. Please bear with me!
Anyhow here are a selection of golden hour shots, as we have pockets of sun amidst the grey and rainy days.

Light Hunter
Thank you for the best wishes, I am feeling much better. This week I have been working on my web shop, cathcing up on errands and chasing the light. I love the excitement of downing jobs and popping out to take a shot and seize the opportunity of sun-light! I've always been a fan of natural light and this season makes me appreciate it even more.

Random Friday
Firstly let me wish you a wonderful weekend, over here in England it is Father's day on Sunday. R is expecting to put his feet up! On the success of selling lot of my postcards, I am looking into making up some cards and trying to find some small frame solutions. Hopefully I'll have them sorted before the Brighton Craft Alliance event that I am joining in on in July. Hoping to work on my current series Floral & Fauna next week. My random friday is all about these finds and catching some late afternoon light with this rose. Hope you have fun this weekend, D x
PS. all photography by me! The two top images leads to the Illustrators website.

Walnut Story
Good afternoon, it has just dawned on me that it is only 6 weeks until Christmas! C has once again woken three nights in a row, from bad dreams. Also tomorrow night I have offered to host a pop up gift party for a friend of a friend, slightly regretting it now, as our refurbished lounge has... you guessed it, piles of boxes in it that I am trying to sort out....spare bedroom pile up I think is in order! Meanwhile with two days of grey behind us, I made the most of our bowl of walnuts and sunlight. My denby jugs are from ebay and a charity shop find, linen runner from a car boot sale and my chopping board was given to me by an aunt who was having a clear out.
