Lemons Still Life

Wow this month seems to be flying by!  Last weekend saw the start of Brighton Artist Open Houses.  This is my first year showing with five other photographers and it has been a super fab start.  It runs for four weekend's in total so it feels like a busy both for me, but not complaining.  The above two are still life that I had printed off for my open house in June.  Also it has to be said that the weather is mighty fine.

Styling Lemons Still Life

Today I had an hour or so to make the most of the sun and style some ideas.  I like the idea of using half a table, so I am playing around with that at the moment.  I used lemons as I love them, the smell, the properties and the pop of yellow.  Isn't this month flying by!!

Yellows for a bright sunshiney day!  Be it may only be once this week, but I love it when the sun comes out.  I shot these lemons, this morning, firstly as I am obessed with lemons, secondly because I only had lemons in as our food delievery is arriving tomorrow!  I wish that I could say that things are calming down, but we are still in the thick of busy days.  Next week, looks more relaxing, so hopefully catch up on my new Fauna and Floral series.  Hope that life is treating you well, currently compling a playlist, what song gets you up and dancing?

Just Lemons - Still Life

Over here in the UK, there is a rumor that we are going to have a sun filled day tomorrow.  Not so sure myself as I am wearing the thickest cardigan I own with my slipper socks!  As long as the sun is shining, I will be happy as I have really missed shooting in beautiful light, these lemon shots were snapped late afternoon yesterday.
