iphone London

Here are a few snap shots taken with my iphone from my visit to London last week.  Considering I was born in London and lived there for over 18 years, I can't help but feel like tourist as our visits are so few!

Random Weekend

With the sun shinning we spent most of the weekend outdoors, bar the time I spent de-cluttering.  L has new converse boots, her hair is so long, but we are due a visit to the hairdressers this week.  C spent time chatting away to her daddy or hiding.  Not forgetting it was all about Comic Relief this weekend, loved all the fundraising, really very moving and heartbreaking.

Park Life

This afternoon we decided to join some friends down at the park.  Loving the flowers that are in bloom!

Pineapple

About to hack this, hack as I am unable to carve it!

Three

When you are greeted each morning with glorious sunshine peeping through the curtains my instant desire is to go out and take photos.  Which I did do, but not for this post!  The result of being outdoors led to me sipping a bit of blossom and styling in three different ways.  Need to nip my blossom obsession.  Or else for the next few weeks it may well be, all about the blossom.

Bedroom

L has decided that she is too old (age seven) to have a pink room (her colour choice four years ago).  We are looking at muted colours and are planning a lighter version of Farrow and Balls Brassica.  We are not intending of painting this room anytime soon, as we are busy trying to sort out our spare room for my sister coming to visit in 5 weeks time.

A little afternoon still life shoot.  Planning going to London to the passport office, oh to be organised and do it via the post!

Miss Independence

My three year old exercises her will for independence as often as she can.  I love watching her confidently say 'I'll do it!"  My seven year old, still on the other expects me to do everything, not all the time but most.  I guess this is typical of having an older sibling and wanting to be like them or that she is done waiting for me to get to her and does it herself.  This weekend we made the most of the sunshine, visited friends for breakfast, bike rides and a trip into Brighton!

Burleigh

Look at my fantastic charity shop finds!  I love my new Burleigh plates and cannot believe I hesitated about buying them.  It was a fraction of the price and the money went to Oxfam.

*Questions 3 and 8 are in the light of today being International Woman's Day, remembering women around the world, those we have lost, those that make a difference.

Random Photographs

Sometimes I take photos with no intent of showing them or without them having any purpose.  Hence my collection of random photos, L dressing up for world's book day, my Aunt's menorah, flowers from my in-laws and the afternoon light on my collection of wooden chopping boards!

Still Life - Ingredients

After a busy Sunday, the grandparents joined us to celebrate L's birthday.  C woke a little tried and tearful, so it made sense to keep her home with me.  After three hours, it was apparent that she was fine and didn't want me to be distracted by my list of to do's!  So after playing 'mum's' and making badges, I sneaked in a few photos.

Seven

Today our precious L turned seven. Celebrating with L has been a very low keyed affair, but perfect! I love her more then in instantaneous moment of her birth. I am so proud of her. I learn so much from her, some lessons I care not to learn, but embark or this journey of ever learning and ever leaning towards.  I lean towards her, when she doesn't know how to come to me, when frustrated and in her overwhelming waves of emotions.  L, I love your compassion, kindness, quiteness, gentleness, and giggles. You are creative and spirtual. You love to run, ride your bike, make things, write away, watch your sister, play 'mum', collect what I'd love to discard, take photos, sing and play on the computer. You don't give much time to bossy people, tiding your room, television, eating crusts, make up or being centre stage. L long may you facinate me, capture my heart, cause me concern, be my everyday pray for you, bring tears to my eyes, forgive each other, love you unconditionally and make me laugh. I love you.
