Still Life - {13}

I am particularly found of this blue jug that I purchased at a car boot sale a while back now.  Also my fondness for forget-me-nots, I am sure that it is all in the name, but nevertheless I enjoy gazing at them take over a small corner of our garden.  It is count down until half term in our house (3 more sleeps)!

Slow Days

This week I am taking things slowly.  Even though I have a list of catch up/ to do's, I'm craving my own time.  Whilst the girls are at school, I have given myself some time to catch up on my reading.  Also currently addicted to pistachios and packaging my postcards sets for open houses in June.  Anyway still wearing layers, as the days are still chilly?

Succulent Love

It is no secret that I love pinterest, my latest pins seem to feature house plant succulents.  I am aiming to start my own collection!  These were snipped from my garden this afternoon and photographed in our kitchen corner.  These were inspired by my hunt for pink to join in with Lou's fab series nature at home.

Random Days

Sorry that I have not been blogging as frequently.  I am also behind on my usual blog reading list, but youngest had a temperature virus that she recovered from last Wednesday, only for my eldest to come down with it on Friday.  Day five nursing her, she has really lost her appetite and her temperature is yet to fall under 38.2!  So while she rests, I managed to clean my kitchen windows, rearrange a table area in the lounge, iron three loads and clean the tops of cupboards!  I like this staying in malarky, but in need of some serious exercise and seeing a few grown ups!  Hoping that she will be well enough for school Thursday?

Foraged Flowers

On my way from a friends house today I found these little ones on the pathway.  I am venturing into some floral still life images and loved composing these images.  On a different matter, we have a pigeon that likes to sit near one of our bedroom windows and coos from 5am onwards...non stop...very tired today!  At least it's not raining!  Today I am joining in with Lou's nature in the home series.

Friends

I wanted to post some more images from our walk last Bank Holiday Monday.  We tend to stick to a route that usually ends up in the village of Ditchling.  It was one of the most relaxing days, I've had in a long time.  Currently, I feel that I am running a checklist most days and not crossing much more than one or two off a day!  Where does the time go?  What's on your checklist...just a little curious!

God-daughter

Yesterday was one of the hottest days so far this year.  Really loving the weather, it makes me happy! We joined some of our close friends for a family walk.  I also got to hang out with my god-daughter J, and take hundreds of photos of this beauty.  I really am proud of her, J is so thoughtful and considerate.  She has a helpful and kind nature, that warms lots of different personalities to her.

Finding Red

These images are a gentle reminder of home.  Our family's love for strawberries, my love for flowers and evening walks.  I yearn for the simple things in life, so that I don't fall for hype or the illusion that everything is perfect.  This week, I had a conversation with someone dear, they were talking about the tears they shed, remembering someone they lost.  What struck a chord with me is when she said that she is getting through it all by keeping busy.  I keep busy, when I don't know how to deal with something or afraid to go deeper.  Often being busy doing nothing much, I am hoping to stop more.

Ginger Still Life {13}

Can you tell, that I am little bit in over drive!  I am not good with deadlines, so I feel that I need to get ahead, so not to have a last minute weep, as Artist Open Houses approaches!  Thank you for your valuable advice.  So can I ask if you can help me with this image, branded or blank?  Many Thanks x
