Famous Five

My most favourite ginger beer.  This drink reminds me of my late Mum and Enid Blyton's Famous Five. It is also a treat, as I try to indulge my urges for fizzy drinks.  If you ever find yourself in an establishment that sells Fentiman's ginger beer, think of me and one of my favourite famous five quotes; “leave something for someone but dont leave someone for something”

This week I have been mainly washing clothes. We are back from camping and the smell of the camp fire lingered on everything. In it all it means that I have not been out and about as much. Over the last few weeks I have been taking stock and processing some changes. I am currently reading Love Wins by Rob Bell and it has given me much food for thought. Both R and I are putting in place what we are learning, letting go and not buying things. This year we are planning on opening our home to those who we have nothing in common with, too often we surround ourselves with like minded friends. R and I have slashed our spending and are thinking of ways to reduce waste. Please stick with me on the journey as I learn and think about how I make others feel.

Red Hearts

Personally I have lost interest in Valentine's Day, a little too commercial may be? But I have not lost in passion for Love. It is the gentle reminders of red hearts, gestures, touches and words that keep the heart beating.

Still Distracted

Ok, so my sleep is improving, I am getting to the gym at least twice a week, we are saving money and I am still de cluttering. All good, yet at the beginning of the week, I was feeling a little out of sorts. In the silence of this morning and gratefulness of the sun, I finally felt a little more at peace with things. A quote I like, a photo I took of my new box file and I am still distracted by pinterest.
