For the Bride to be...
For my dearest B and her forthcoming wedding. Instead of trying to explain the brooches over the phone, I thought it would be easier to photograph. I am guessing that the leaf and coloured one is not right for the bouquet, but as I mentioned it, I thought that I would acknowledge it. I am still on the hunt for pearl and diamond ones...so watch this space. Aren't weddings exciting times?

If only...
Most days I am very practical about my fantasies, having an orgainised home, going shopping without the girls, laying in and reading a good book and going to the cinema without the ordeal of settling the girls for the baby sitter. So in the light of the recent sunny days and sporting my new jeans, I found myself a little taken with this rather dashing triumph. It was a parked a few doors down, but I simply had to go back for my camera and take a photo of it. Truly I can see myself, driving along the south coast in this beauty. Practical fantasy...what's yours?

Summer Pink
Today is a hot day! I have just wondered through the village and the amount folks wearing short selves are many. I am distracted that this weekend is a bank holiday and we have lots planned. I am also thrilled that our youngest that has slept through two nights in a row....about time as she is twenty months! The flowers are in bloom, so I couldn't help but snap some pink.

Hush
Do you ever feel like big brother is watching. I must have order something once online and forgot to check the privacy box, as I keep getting mail order brochures. But a new discovery has come out of this event and it is a lovely mail order company called Hush. The style is very understated and relaxed...think gap/yoga retreats. Anyway it was the above nightwear images that grabbed me. There is something about lovely pyjamas. It is a shame that my wish list is increasing instead of decreasing.

A Moment
A few weeks back, I placed an order with the library requesting a book. I was delighted that it had arrived in and was ready for my collection. Granted, I have only got through the first chapter, the girls sat playing tea parties by my feet and broke my concentration. So the next few chapters will have to wait until they are tucked up in bed.
In the light of reducing 'things' I am hoping to have more time to reflect. This photo is simply this, I have always wanted to displayed roses in a teacup!

The colour Purple
A dear friend and I have been talking kitchen extensions lately as we are both embarking on knocking out walls. Her's is more immanent than ours as we still haven't put in for planning. We are loving ideas of colour and vintage....mood boards to follow. Until than I am dreaming of the melty colour that is purple....I say melty as the ultimate purple is the cadburys wrapper. Both Le Creuset and Denby have introduce variations of this colour under the guise of cassis and amethyst

Yellow
Yesterday we spent time in our village. We joined another family for lunch, the children played with cars and in the garden. Then we walked the longer way home. I snapped away, mostly for my flickr page and my collection of yellow. My friend has injected her newly renovated kitchen with mustard and so that was start of my search for yellow. Is it me, but I feel like the Easter break is flying by!

Sunlight Hunter
With a chill in the air, we are still making the most of the sunlight. Even though we are having a slower week, we are trying to be outdoors everyday. So on our return I thought that would snap the afternoon sun in our home. The toy solider was found by Lydia when helping dig a patch in the garden that needs re-truffing.

Stanmer Park
Another sunny day, a visit from Granny and a picnic outing to Stanmer Park. L and C collected daisies for a daisy chain, which sadly fell apart. It felt that the whole world was happier because the sun was shining.

Sheffield Park
Thank goodness the Sun was out in it's full glory. It was our first day starting the holidays without Dad, as he has to work. In order to hold of from having to tidy the house from the recent carnage of toys and pens out, we packed a lunch and headed for a National Trust Park. Our girls, are not the best in car journeys, but with plenty of distractions, we arrived and spent the day outdoors.
