Jalapeno Melts

Hope that you had a good weekend and the Autumn sun graced your days.  We had a lot on this weekend and a big chunk of time was taken up with helping run a couple of stalls at L's school Christmas fair.  Then there was the Dr Who special, L's a new fan!  My dear friend SW bought me these delicious melts to sample and it is fair to say that they didn't last long.  If you follow me on Pinterest you will be aware of my love for packaging, so I couldn't resist photographing this stylishly illustrated box.

Portrait of C

When the sun sheds it's light, I drop everything and shoot.  My willing subject C, allowed me to alternate lens and strike a pose for me.  I miss taking photos of our girls, when they were not at school is was pretty daily, but it is mainly at weekends.

White Munchkin Still Life

The last few days I have been following the weather very closely.  The last couple of weeks I have been focused in getting ready for the Christmas fairs coming up rather than shooting.  This afternoon the light was rather fantastic and I managed to photograph the long awaited white munchkins.  They have been sitting at the end of our kitchen table for a while.  So instead of hovering the girls bedroom I spent time on preparing this still life study.

Random Tuesday

Hope that you are well and enjoying this chilly season.  I am trying to be available to grab natural light as and when.  It means that I trying to be organised enough to put this into practice.  This weekend I am selling at the local secondary school Christmas fair.

Autumn Trail

The last two days have been fairly grey, so my still life shoots have been on hold.  I seized the opportunity to shoot some autumn scenes.  I read an amazing article about autumn days photography.  As  a light lover, I have struggled to feel inspired about the lack of it.  So I am putting a few ideas together to embrace shooting during this season.

Devils Dyke Windy morning walk

We braved the winds and visited Devils Dyke, one of our favourite views of the South Downs.  Honestly we lasted just over an hour, before we took shelter and indulged in sweet things.  Lovely Tracey is kindly hosting my calendar giveaway on her blog this week.  Tracey is a talented illustator and artist, she is super friendly too!  Please pop by and say 'hi'!

Back to London

Now the girls are older, it is so much more straight forward to jump on a train to my hometown, London.  We are always wiped out by a long day out, but it is always worth it.  This time we met up with L's far away best friend O.  I love the ease of this friendship and how they truly enjoy each other.  We opted for the second time visit to the Natural History Museum, it is always a hit.  Hope that you have had a marvelous half term.
