We are still living in the midst of dust and disorganisation. However, it is not too long now and I will finally be able to post the before and after of our kitchen. So in the mean time, I found distraction via the Topshop and House of Fraser website, roll on Springtime.
It was inevitable that the distribution of not having a kitchen, would it effect us all in different ways. C our youngest doesn't like the noise and wants to stay out all day, L is getting very tried from being woken by the early morning arrival of our builders, R is off at work during the days and it ok with all, and as for me...Well I miss my blog time, taking photos on our kitchen table and not having a washing machine. Actually it is not too bad, time is flying by and the excitement of the future kitchen revamp is too wonderful to contain. My ideas are flowing and de-cluttering is a must for this new space of ours. I took these photos this morning before we set of to find a radiator.
Our girls, on a bright start to the year. It is nice to have a few mornings, when it is not too grey and wet. We are trying to get back into a daily routine, but the cold winter mornings, keep me wishing for an extra hour or two in bed. We have started to empty the kitchen, as the builders start next week. It is very daunting trying to get so much done in such a short space of time. Here's hoping that it will all come together.
May 2011 be filled with love, laughter, gentle persuasion and compassion.
With the snow being a few changes to our best laid plans, we had time to sit and plan a budget for our kitchen re-furbishment. We don't have an insulted or heated space so the kitchen is particularly painful to live with this season. The quotes we are getting in have been higher than we budgeted for. This means we have to stick to careful planning and re thinking how our budget is spent. Honestly, the things we liked just cost too much to do. Armed with my books, tear sheets and pinterest we have come with ideas. I will try to credit these images later, as I have forgotten to book mark them!
Today is the last day of school, tomorrow is the start of family get togethers and from then on, we will be together seeing friends and celebrating the birth of Jesus. So armed with my list I am slowly working through it, but I am still distracted by pinterest.
