Ickworth House
We loved Ickworth House so much we visited the house two days in a row. Day one, we visited the main house, including the servants quarter which was very Downton Abbey! Day two, we watched a birds of prey event and walked down to the walled gardens. We chatted, ate and played old fashioned board games. Happy weekend, I believe we will have sun!

Aircraft
During our stay in Norfolk, we visited an aircraft museum. The girls were surprisingly fascinated with it all.

Still Life - Mushrooms and Peppercorns
We are back and looking forward to posting some holiday snaps. However I took this today and thought I would like to share it. Particularly thrilled with my car boot sale finds, linen table mat and two stoneware soup bowls.

Quiet by Susan Cain
Today has been a conveyor belt of the girls friends coming to play. We spent some of the day drawing on pebbles. Then a surprise gift came in the post from CS, a book that she has recommended for sometime. Naturally I love chatting and meeting new people. However, a year ago I recognised that I really cherish being on my own. Time to be stop, think, process and be creative. I had two lots of twenty minutes through my hectic day and dived straight into this super insightful book. It is called QUIET. by Susan Cain.

Hove Beach
Last week, we picked what would seem to be the only day that the sea mist would particularly heavy. L was very hesitant about venturing onto the beach to collect some pebbles to paint. For me, I am a sucker for beach huts and love photographing the girls against them. Hands up if you are drawn to beach huts!

Still life Friday - Gooseberries.
Today the lovely S from London town came to visit. The sun came out, we popped out and finally sourced some gooseberries for this long awaited still life shot. The top image is whizzing itself over to my printers, ready to go on sale. Ps. not sure what to do with these gooseberries, now that they have been shot?! Dx

Out take Monday
Some random photos I have snapped over the weekend, but just too random to be on their own! The sun is shining, the Olympics continues to inspire our home and the clutter is slowly being moved out of our house!

Ditchling Beacon
Our most favorite place to fly a kite. I must have photographed this place 100 times. Ditchling Beacon welcomes the London to Brighton bike ride once a year, plays host to the windy heights and breath taking scenes of the english countryside. It is a choice of dog walkers, city walkers and kite fans! C loves to run on ahead, she would rather not fly the kite, so L enjoys not having to share!
A little late, but just discovered Blog Lovin Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Visting Chartwell
Only pockets of dry spells, so we have been trying to pop out and make the most of our National Trust membership. I love that the wildflower areas springing up throughout these historic gardens. With our new found love of gardening, the inspiration has kept on coming!
