Warm Inside
This is true that at the moment, we are living in a Narnia bubble of cold and in some cases, snow over here in the UK. However one of my favourite blogs the blue hour, inspired to look through last years bursts of sun (abroad and UK). My random selection left me with a warm feeling inside.

Lime Still Life Study
Today I manage to snap these limes in a short pocket of sunlight! I need to select the final print image, but for now here are these. Happy weekend!

Summer Dress
Yesterday, granny popped over and helped me tidy up the girls bedroom and the spare room. This resulted in the girls have finding lost purses, notebook, teddies, lego friends figures and this dress! It was bought for C by a relative but it was too big and too summery so I stored it away! C found it and insisted on wearing for the rest of the afternoon, not really concerned that the log burner was on, as it was particularly chilly yesterday!

Thrift Finds
Trying not to complain about the weather. These are my weekend finds cheered me up! My vase was a find from the charity shop for £2.50 and the denby cup and saucers from ebay for £5.00. I purchased these in the guise using them for props, but we have decided that we like them a lot. Also for weeks, I have been wanting to join in Lou's nature at home series. Only six days to sign up folks!

Random Friday
What a week, still dazed by the fact that R was stuck in his car for twelve hours, when he was only 30 mins on a motorway drive from home. I am searching out spring, really over the snow, in fact started a new pin board, called summer. C has inherited my knack for collecting things, her collection of pez holders is fast growing. Taking of my watch and leaving it everywhere, expect where it actually lives! Guilty of not posting these gifts to Canada, to the lovely R family!

Daffodils and Green Tea
Yesterday was a snow day. The night before R left work at 6.10pm and finally made it home at 5.45am the next day, a forty minute journey took nearly twelve hours. It was a cold night. Anyway the girls had their friends over in the afternoon and I drank mainly green tea to keep the chill at bay! Please can we start to think warm spring days into being, as I am little over winter!

Flower Fancy
Over the last two weeks, I have been bringing spring indoors. My way of willing it to get warmer outside. The first shots were taken in my home, the final image was at a friend's home that I visited last Friday! Hope that your week is going well, any plans for Mother's Day?

L turns eight
My eldest daughter turned eight today. It only feels like yesterday when I held her for the first time and gazed into her smiley eyes. Today, I am amazed and grateful for L and all that she brings to our lives.
L, the first thing about you that I always mention (this blog included) is your kindness. It is such a simple virtue, but so hard to follow through, when life or tiredness gets in the way, but you are so natural and consistent in this trait. You love to learn, presently you are thriving in year three, with wonderful certificates in tow. May the greatest lesson you learn be that you are greatly loved. Trust your decisions, you are very discerning and have a wonderful heart. I am learning to love the things you love (one direction and camp rock...why)?? Seriously, I love to find you where you are, not always where I would want you to be. When the road seems to divide, please remember I will always come to you. As a mother I will always celebrate you being your own person, but for now I still have the role to help you grow.
