Lilac Still Life Study

With the smallest pocket of sunlight, my neighbour kindly let me snip these beauties to photograph.  I truly love lilacs and need to plant one of my very own.  Thank you for all the encouragement and well wishes I have been receiving about Brighton Open Houses, much appreciated.

  1. I used to have a garden full of it but neglect ie no idea how to trim so little is now left only the white lilac. Like you I must plant some. These photos are particularly serene.

    1. The thing about Lilac is that the flowers drop so quickly! I do love white flowers the most, so pure and simple xx

  3. Hi Dawn, I happened upon your blog by way of Tracey English by way of Uppercase magazine - at least as best I can recall! Love your still life photos - such thoughtful compositions and creative use of shadows and light. I really enjoyed browsing through your posts, and I especially admire your simple and uncluttered style.
