Oudoor Days

My random colour groups I took this week.  As I was going through the photos I have taken over the last week, I love that it has been mainly to do with being outdoors.  Grateful for the wonderful weather and look forward to relaxing this weekend, just C's party and a school social on the Saturday!  What are  you planning this weekend?

C turns Five

Today our youngest turned five.  The first thing she said this morning was "I am really five today, at this time?"  C you bring us so much joy, you love making us laugh, you are full of humor.  The best thing is your endless affection, you love to cuddle up, be held and get into our bed at the weekends.  At times you are fiercely independent, yet other times you crave being the 'baby'.  Recently when Becca and Tim stayed Tim said to Becca that you are 'impossibly cute'!  Even L remarks how 'cute in C' most days.  You play nicely with your friends, you love to make them laugh, you love doing accent impressions and repeating lines in films.  You sing, I would say all the time if that was possible?!  You sing at school, at home, in the car, when we are out, you mainly sing about what you are thinking, seeing or doing!  Lastly you are a little too cheeky, but we adore you.

Something about....

...late afternoon sun.  Firstly the sun is still shining.  Secondly I am loving it!  Enough said, but the sun really does make people happy.  These shots were taken yesterday in our kitchen.  The jug, orchid and bird tray were gifts for my birthday last month.

Sea of Poppies

Rarely do I post over the weekend, as we try to keep it about family time.  The girls are a little hot, so cooling off playing camping and making dens in their bedrooms.  R is watching the Lions game (Rugby) and I couldnt resist posting these shots of the poppy field we visited this morning.  I spied this field on my food shop run last weekend, but didn't have a chance to head back until today.  It was a first for all of to wander through a sea of poppies.  Truth be told the adults loved it more than the girls as they got hot and bothered after half an hour!  Enjoy your weekend, may the sun shine x

June day - Our Girls

In a matter of weeks, school is out for the summer.  I am busy doing all the chores that would bore our girls and getting a few dates in the diary for outtings.  During the summer holidays, my photography series is on hold, so tomorrow I am hoping to shoot two other foraged images.  With a day like today, the summer feels like it has endless possiblities, fingers crossed for some more sunshine during the six weeks vacation!

Neighbour's Front Garden

Growing Eucalptus

This is the harvest of my second attempt to grow a eucalyptus tree/bush in our garden.  I am excited that this one has survived a whole year with us.  I am hoping to grow flowers that I can cut and photograph and add the likes of this eucalyptus too!  Wish me luck with my endeavours.  Tomorrow, I will post photos of some of the flowers I shot on our road.
