Desk Nook

During this half term week, anything to do with chores, simply go out the window.  It is only one week so the girls and I are making the most of it.  L has been nursing me, bless her heart of gold and C has been bountiful with her cuddles.  Tomorrow R, is off for the next few days to join us in the fun!  We had some of the Cole and Son Rajapur wallpaper left over, so we were able to use it in our alcove.  Here is my workspace nook.  I love the calm.
This is what the alcove area used to look like!

Home- Sneak Peak

Here is a little sneak into our living room.  If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen some fuller shots, I still need to unpack my other lens!  Hoping to take some more photos soon, as I have been poorly over the weekend, so missed my sunny day opportunity.  Recovering slowly, off to the doctors next week, hoping for a little more insight as I am feeling rather peculiar.

Photographing C

My daughters give me two minutes of their time in which I try to shoot as many portrait style shots as possible.  My youngest C, prefers to pull faces, sing and dance.  They truly are reluctant models, but they persevere in humoring their mother.

Our Daily Bread

Firstly I have missed the blog world, please forgive me for my absence.  Later today I will be catching up on all my favourite blogs and commenting away!!  These shots reflect the grey days we have been having, where is the Indian summer we were promised?  Besides the living room being re-vamped, I have been asked to feature some products on my blog (more info to follow), took some publicity shots for a pop up gift shop and working on my calendar.  Let me know any news, I may have missed!  It is good to be blogging again.

Finding Fonts

Trying to be ok.  Ok with the workmen still here. Ok with not having a living room.  Ok with playing with our girls and behind the housework!  Ok that the evenings are drawing in.  Ok with needing more sleep and less time on the computer.
Whist out and about, found these fonts set into wood.  My pinterest stores my love for fonts!
How's this new month treating you?

Window Shopping Online!

Thank you for the lovely comments of encouragement and tips on de-cluttering.  Two more weeks, then we will have our lounge back.  The decoration may run in Mid Nov, but at least the real messy stuff will be done with.  So between cleaning daily layers of dust or making cups of tea and coffee for the workmen, I have been window shopping online.  My latest discovery is a lovely website that specialises in products being designed and made in GB.  The images are taken from Vinnie & D, but I could have featured the lovely Elsie Belle jewellery line or Rosalind Howards' cards.  But it was the Volpe & Volpe and my love for ceramics that won me over.  The matt versions of these vintage designed swans, that would look the part in our new study area.

Rockpooling

We still have various workmen turning up to renovate our living room.  The majority of my week is spent sorting out clutter and ordering bits and pieces still needed to make it 'ours'.  The budget is tight so we are being resourceful and really researching our purchases, from radiators to door knobs.  However we fail to slave away all weekend, we often sneak off somewhere if the weather is dry!
